Exporting Chromatograms, Copy & Paste
Xhromatogram supports the export of a
graphical representation of the chromatogram or
mass spectrum. Select File|Export... from the main
menu. The chromatogram pane is exported as seen
on the screen, except that the stepper and
checkbox controls are hidden. Supported formats
are PDF, EPS, GIF, PNG, TIFF and JPEG. These are
fairly primitive, and offer no options.
You may also use Copy & Paste or Drag & Drop
to transfer the chromatogram. The format depends
on the receiving software. Cocoa-based
applications paste as PDF vector drawings.
Carbon-based applications paste as bitmap images
at screen resolution. (I hope to improve on that
some day.) Drag & Drop is started by option-
cllicking or click-and-holding in the chromatogram
area.
You may also use Copy & Paste or Drag & Drop
to transfer selected data from the peak table or
info table as plain text in tab-delimited format.
Drag & Drop is started by option-clicking in the
table area.
